Muscat – April 2022 - Oman National Transport Company (Mwasalat), a member of Asyad Group, is launching the limited-time Day in Nizwa tour package offering a direct service to Nizwa and tours to visit and explore the historical city during Eid Al Fitr holiday.

 

From the 2nd to the 5th day of the Eid holiday (May 3-6), Mwasalat will operate scheduled tours from Muscat (Azaiba Bus Station) to Wilayat Nizwa to offer its customers a new tailored service that will meet the popular demand during the Eid holiday to visit one of iconic areas of Oman. The new service also aims at promoting public transport as a key enabler of domestic tourism, in line with Asyad’s strategy to bring more visibility to the vital role of public transport in supporting economic sectors.

The tour will begin with a visit to the spectacular historic sights of Nizwa, particularly Nizwa Fort, a popular tourist destination, where visitors can witness the rich legacy and glory of the Sultanate of Oman. Visitors will also have the chance to walk around the splendid Nizwa Souq and see authentic Omani craftsmen in action, then enjoy a number of traditional activities and folk arts. In addition, the program will take our guests on an educational sightseeing experience of Falaj Daris, the famous traditional irrigation system that sustained Omani settlements for centuries and has now been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To boost domestic tourism and engage the private sector, the package will include a buffet lunch at a selected traditional Omani restaurant in Nizwa to add flavor to a wonderful experience in one of Oman’s oldest and culturally rich wilayas.
